Anyone tried the Federal Syntech .40 Caliber / 10mm .400" 165gr Jacketed Flat Nose bullets? Was just going through my reloading stuff this morning and found 5 boxes that Federal Sent me last year for testing...Score 😀

Should perform like a cast bullet and the syntech coating prevents leading...
Ken What powder do you have to load these with?  BE-86 or Power Pistol would be a good choices!

Evening Shadow, BE-86, Blue Dot, Power Pistol, and Longshot are my current opinions, which would you recommend?, I'm looking more for accuracy than 8000 FPS 😀

With BE-86 and those 165 grain Synech projectiles I use 8.2 -8.4 grains should be 1180 - 1230 fps depending on the firearm
If you are wanting to push them harder 8.8 grains should about 1300 fps

Power Pistol could also be run at the same charge weights.  Blue Dot 10.2 - 10.4 grains.

These would be what I use if not pushing for the upper limits.

Morning, I just came across 400 Federal Hydra-Shok 165 grainers that vista outdoor sent me last year for testing . Will the powder charge be similar to the Federal 165 grain Synech?, or could they be pushed a bit faster?
Thanks
