What do you all think?

I love panel grips and was trying to decide if I wanted some for my Match Champion in 10mm. I removed them from my 3in GP100 357 where they are a perfect match. But they look to small on the match champion due to it's 4 inch barrel looks out of place to me. I guess I could get the full size panel grips.

The original wood panel grips fit my hand but just look to big to me :)

Decisions decisions :)

I think I will get the recreated Ruger Snakeskin Altamont grips

The only panel grips I ever had was one I made for a Colt Python. It was not an easy thing to do on a Python with all of the inletting so it fit tight. Although the grips were custom made to my seemingly large hands, I never really like the look of them. Not that the wood was bland, it was real honest African Rosewood with nothing but 100% figure in it. It just didn't look right on the gun. My brother has a set of Hogue rubber panels on a Ruger Super Blackhawk, now that I think of it. While he apparently likes them, I don't care for the look of the gun. But then I don't like the gun anyway. It's never fit me in any regard. I guess it's a personal thing. Frankly, considering you have one of the best 357 mags ever made, I'd want to keep it looking original and not cover up anything that would make somebody miss it being what it is. Unless the factory grips don't fit your hand, my vote goes to leave it alone.

Trapper,

In the picture is the Ruger Match Champion 10MM. The bottom picture are the grips from my 357mag gp100. The wood grips that come with the 10MM Match Champion I am not fond of. The question is do I purchase another set of Ruger Panel grips of the bottom picture for my 10MM.

The wood grips that come on the 10mm MC were a little hard on my hand also...  Replaced them with a set of Hogue fingergroove rubber and there was a significant improvement in shooting comfort especially with 200 grain loads.

Didn't care for the fingergrooves too much and found the same grip without them... Took both the 10mm and a standard 4" GP100 with the stock grips to the range and am liking the Ruger grips a little more than the Hogue....a little more testing will be going on before the final decision...

Those look nice.  How's the recoil?  Seems like the rubber is in a good spot to protect the web of your hand.  I went with the non-finger groove Houge grips on my GP100.  They feel great but just look ho-hum.

I don't think, I just react.  ;D

Not real sure about that expression, but it was a phrase my old roommate pretty much used to any query of what do you think. I think his point was it doesn't matter what I think, what are YOU most comfortable with.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
