Got this RIA model 52000; it's a fairly decent size firearm weighing close to 4 lbs but I still want to see if I can CC.  I just don't want to sink $200 into a custom holster to find out it doesn't work.  Does any one here know an economical brand of vertical shoulder holster that will hold this thing?  I'm 6'2" and wear a 48 long athletic cut suit so my frame should handle it.  Any suggestions?

That's a tough one. I used to use an uncle mikes vertical shoulder holster for my 6 inch 1911's. But they stopped making them with an open bottom. Used to be an inch of the slide would stick out the bottom. I used that until it wore out. When I tried to replace it they now used a closed bottom so the 6 inch didn't fit. I ended up ordering a $250 custom from Wright Leatherworks. Took 3 months to get it. Then I sold the rig and gun to my buddy to buy my wife's engagement ring.

I came here to say what Patriot said.  I would get the Uncle Mikes and remove some stitches from it, then put some stop stitches in to keep it from coming completely un-done.
