G40 trigger

I have a gen 1 17L---BUT I really don't know much about Glocks -- the rated trigger pull on my 17L is around 4-4.5 pounds, but it looks like the G40 is around 5.5 lbs--- is there something that Glock does to lighten the pull weight?? 

My 17L trigger is pretty decent, but it's no match grade trigger for sure

Glock sells a 4.5 lb connector, and it is stock in target guns, and the G40 included unless they've changed since all the boxes I seen. Self Defense/Service Pistols come at 5.5 lbs. My 29 after polishing measured 4.8 lbs I "think" it was. It's been awhile and I don't have a gauge personally and ever Glock is different.
