Looking for some advice on this.  For the most part I am shooting basic, lower power range ammo like CCI Blazer and Remington UMC, but I also want to shoot some full powered ammo on occasion (picked up some Buffalo Bore 220gr outdoorsman).  Would you swap in a heavier recoil spring just to be safe?  What weight would you select (for a standard length spring as I have extend spring caps).  Anyone using 22 or 24lb springs for everything, even the low power stuff?  thanks

I would stick with the stock spring unless I was having specific feeding issues.

I would exchange the firing pin stop with a flat bottom variety.

I'd love to have a Dawson captured spring.   I have an RIA 10mm long slide and a DW Bruin longslide, that factory spring isn't the friendliest to get back in.  Very doable, but if you slip it's going into low orbit.

But they don't make it for a long slide, I asked.
