Almost 2017.

Has anyone worked up loads in Hodgdon LIL'GUN (yet)?

Not my favorite powder... If anywhere near compressed it badly pressure spikes. But it also runs very hot.

Yes it can produce top velocities in many calibers. Its not a powder I use...

I have used the Hodgdon Lil'Gun in 458 SOCOM, 410ga and have some data from some who have tried it in the 10mm.

But it takes a lot of powder to develop some velocity...AA#9 makes that number using less...

--Hornady 180 grain XTP bullets;
--New Starline brass;
--CCI 350 Magnum Pistol Primers.
Loads up to 17.0 grains of Lil'Gun made 1400 fps (but YMMV)

Never used it in 10mm but I've used lil gun in my revolvers and in my 300 blackout an as cw said it does run hot and is also rough on forcing cones.  I've since swapped over from h110 and lil gun to using power pro 300mp and have been happy so far.

I use 296 as I bought a 8# some years back when I shot allot of heavy 45 Colts and 410 shotguns. Im just finishing it after three years of shooting allot of 300 blks! My latest favorite round!  ;D ;D ;D

I have been trying to get the MP300 for some years finally I splurged and bought 2# online when midway offered no hazmat sale. The very first loading sent some 120 Barnes bullets sub MOA!

I have plenty of Longshot, #9, Blue dot, etc .....

I guess the nutbag in me is always looking for the slowest powder to use in the gassed 10mm AR. By slow I mean relatively slow burning, most gaseous powder.

THANKS!
