The BE-86 is really working well for you in that longer barrel.

I loaded quite a few when I saw intercooler's post about your recommended load, and I'm not disappointed.  Velocity wise, it is between Power Pistol and BE-86, and I like the BE-86 better.  Power Pistol seems like its sharper in its blast/recoil, but it doesn't translate into fps.  That and its yield is slightly less.

The Longshot showed a distinct plateau around where I stopped my step-up.  6.2g yielded slightly higher velocity than 6.3g, and I threw a 1.6" 10 shot group with the 6.3g load (iron peep sights at 25 yards) just before I left the range.  Its not as hot of a load, but it is very pleasant to shoot.  I will be hitting the range again with 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4g loads to verify the edges of that plateau.

The AA7 loads had the first shot of the string launch at much lower velocity, and it was repeated on a second string.  Its troublesome, but interesting none the less.  Its pleasant to shoot, but uses much more powder by weight.  Its a case full at that weight, but not compressed, so I doubt I'll be increasing that load, nor do I consider it a best option.

Right now I consider the BE-86 load the best for that bullet/gun.  I'm still not done playing with the Longshot plateau.

Thanks for sharing your work, it is very interesting to me as I can compare notes.
I would agree as different bullet makes and weights can show favor with different powders.

I need to get to the range and test more too but we go from mild winter to unbearable humidity and heat.  After having been a fireman for years, I don't handle the heat well these days, it is because of some meds I take... :-[
