New 10mm/.40 AR-15 Wildcat 400AR

10mm SOCOM.

10mm SOCOM is another awesome .40-caliber cartridge, but I think the 400AR is more succinct.

The 400AR was designed as a .40/10mm cartridge from the get-go. It has a slimmer case for a double-stack magazine. A standard length mag for the 400AR holds 25 rounds, where the 10mm SOCOM only holds around 10. In addition, the 400AR is rated at 50,000 PSI and is capable of higher velocities with bullets up to 200 grains. The 10mm SOCOM has a max pressure of 35,000 PSI.

The 400AR requires a custom barrel and modified magazine, but everything else is standard, off-the-shelf. It uses an unmodified barrel extension, an unmodified upper receiver, an ordinary 7.62x39 bolt, a .750 gas block with a regular carbine tube.

Both cartridges may do the job equally well, but I prefer the 400AR.
