What he said, the barrel is not only ramped, but also a Bull barrel. Unlike some others, my RIA never had a failure that was caused by the firearm. A bad primer pocket on a reload yes, but nothing that was a problem with the function of the gun.

I must got a lemon...my ria 10mm was a nightmare.  Went back to the factory twice..never worked right. Sold it to a gunsmith friend who said he would get it running or else. Hope you guys have better luck..I did love the fit and feel of the vz grips, just wish it was reliable.

My RIA longslide had to go back but has been great since also.

Best longslide 1911 value for sure.

For the money, RIA is a good "builder" (platform). For "ready to run" from the box. Dan Wesson is a great value.
