Experience buying Ammo from Grizzly Cartridge Company?

Does anyone have any ammo purchasing experience, good or bad with Grizzly Cartridge Company?  I made online purchase of some 10mm 200gr. JHP and 44 mag 320gr. WLNGC from them last weekend.  Several attempts (e-mail & phone calls) to contact them as to order status update have gone unanswered.   :( 

I've read couple of reviews of their products here which encouraged me to give them a try but wondering if my experience with their customer service is normal...

     I canceled my order. Same bunch of crap you went through  :(


  The ammo is good, but ordering direct is total crap. My advice is finding it online in-stock to purchase (Midway USA/ Gun-Bot) or just forget it. That's the only way I buy Grizzly now.

Finally got e-mail reply late yesterday;"waiting on components to fill order, yada, yada, yada."  ???

So I cancelled order.  Won't make that mistake again.

Hello,
Horrible experience ordering ammo from Grizzly Cartridge.  I first bought their ammo in 2011 for a trip to AK.  Was very accurate out of my Ruger SBH 44 Mag. 
I ordered another 20rnd box of 300gr 44mag on 3/26/14.  My credit card was charged the same day.  No mention of a backorder or possible delay on their web site.  On 4/23/14 I emailed them to get an update on my order.  NO reply.  On 5-6-14 I called them and talked to a rude guy who took my order number, name, and phone number.  He said he would call right back.  NO return call from Grizzly Cartridge.
Now, I understand they may be backed up or overwhelmed by the ammo panic, but do not charge my card until the order ships like most other companies do.  If they are backed up, tell me.  I might wait a long time for this good ammo. 
I'm guessing their company is collapsing.  Best to avoid and find an alternative.

ruger44mag, welcome to the forum!  Thanks for your input about your experience with Grizzly Cartridge, components are in dire straits but companies should be upfront with their customers and you're right there should be no charges on your card till your order is filled, poor business model.

Glad I handload my own stuff...  ::)

Yep, time to dust off my reload bench.  Grizzly Cartridge is to be avoided.  We all know the aspects of the ammo panic, Grizzly just needed to be nice and tell me when they will be shipped.  Being rude on the phone when they have my money will not get return business.
Other customers on Smith-wessonforum.com have had even worse experience with Grizzly Cartridge.  Owner of Grizzly was reported to be screaming at another customer who asked why their credit card was charged with out shipment.  Others experienced the same issues of no returned emails and no one answering the phone at Grizzly.

OH YEA, they ran that exact same "I'll call you right back" (literally verbatim) crap on me!
