The package from George Rome arrived today.  I sent him an e-mail and I'm waiting for him to call me to discuss a few things.
BTW I have some work ahead of me to get some testing done.

Dessert gold is going to test some pulled Ranger T series 180 grain I had good result with this bullets. He also has some 200 GDHP I know that he purchased but the dessert is to hot now for any testing. I won't get any done until fall so the suspense gets deeper for me. I am hoping we can reproduce & resurrect the full power Norma loads with higher technology powder. It's fishing season & I have not fixed my gas tanks in my boat this is the first seasoning 20 years I have let go without catching any 8 pound class flounder. I also missed the gun show this past weekend due to family members I had to take to the hospital this past weekend. I will be back strong this fall I hope!

Speer 200gr Gold Dot using LongShot 9.4 grains Remington 2 ½ primers COAL 1.250" Star Line brass (X several loadings)
Tested 8/16/2013 in the S&W1006 1265 fps / 710 ft lbs primer moderately flattened, raised dimple wiped, case stayed in chamber, pulled of the extractor due to pressure expansion (this may not have happened with new brass)...Expansion 0.4290"  Brass shows high stress being expanded tightly to chamber wals.
This loading may require a recoil spring change from 22lbs to 24lbs to adjust slide timing for the impulse, I may test this out. ???

Needs more testing, but think 9.2 grains LS will be a better loading. 8)

Yesterday evening I attempted another water jug shot over the chrony.  The Jugs are setting on a 5/4" by 6" board against a small berm, the bullet registered 1265 fps, but impacted right down the middle of the board.  Missed the jugs altogether and could not find the projectile.

Well this morning I went do a walk around my yard and this is what I found, the small piece was 10' to the right side in my garden and the bigger piece was about 25' to the left and beyond the impact and exit from the board.

Three of the petals rolled back, two of which are folded against the base, the other petal exposed and still attached.  One of the separated petals was found (13.5 grains) but two are missing... ???  Still looking ::)

This round expended almost all of its energy as it traversed the 5" of solid end grain of the board.

Someday I might actually be able to hit the water jugs!  :o

Awesome that almost wanted I wanted to see! That is a lot of power dumped I bet It take your arm off. I like to see one recover in Ballistic Gel hoping to get .950 to over I" expansion! My hopes are looking better!

I not giving up on this bullet hey Original black talon SXT 200 Grain was rated at a weak 950-960 FPS but gave close to 16" of deep penetration

Tested one of the Speer 200 grain Gold Dots I had previously loaded to 1265 fps using 9.4 grains of LongShot.
Projectile penetrated 4 gallon water jugs but was stuck in the partial hole in the back of fourth gallon jug.  One petal was in the third jug but the rest was in the 4th jug.

Brass was a well used Winchester and shows a slight "smile" expansion at the smile is 0.4295" and 0.4285" on the sides.
Primer was moderately flattened.

This was the reason I backed off to 9.2 grains of LS, bringing the velocity down to the 1220-1230 fps range.

Thanks for the test. Those things look pretty serious. Did you include denim?
