I went hunting with a group of handgun hunters over the weekend and got a nice 150lb hog with the Kase Reeder Ultimate 10mm - This is built on a Caspian Recon Frame/slide. I was down in a river bottom and looked up and saw this boar eating acorns about 50 yards away. I  put a stalk on him, the shot was about 20 yards - I used my 215gr cast WFNGC at 1250 fps. The shot went thru the right shoulder and into the left, breaking the right shoulder and damaging the left . He was pushing with his back legs and went about 15 yards .I put a finishing shot into the head.
You can see where the bullet entered, the hairless hole right below the muzzle of  the 10MM ,punched a hole right thru. I could not find the bullet.

Congrats!

What are the specs of that 1911?
I'd love to have a frame matched with a 45 and 10mm if I win the lotto.

Caspian Recon frame, 6" barrel. Ed Brown bushing , trigger 3.5lb and I don't remember the rest  ;D . I looked on the website and it shows my pistol but no spec's. I am sure the pistol series (Ultimate 10MM ) was taken off the site because lead times are getting to long 1 year +. The gun is very accurate and bank vault tight, runs like a dream.

Sean,

That is a nice hog.  It was a shame you couldn't recover the bullet.
Thanks for the advice on the issues I was having with the 190 gr. WFNGC not letting my slide fully lock.  I adjusted my crimp die down and they all chamber perfect. Thanks and God Bless!

Wow, super job and story!

I've got a Fusion 6" 1911 in 10mm and I use a load very close to those specs (200gr WFNGC @ 1250-1300fps) and it is a HAMMER.

Good job and nice pistola!
