I am ashamed at this realization...

If this is a re-post I offer apologies as I did not see it....

One year ago, Whitney Huston died... Unbelievable talent, sorry affair but lets face facts, a druggie, abuser of drugs.

Our illustrious leader proclaimed such sadness that flags across the nation where flown at half staff as a remembrance.

Now without getting into all that involves and that I believe Bobby Brown is to blame. She is a adult and responsible for her actions and choices. She CHOOSE to go down a road of abuse and drugs...it surly killed her. But to honor such a person is to honor all things they are and stand for. This was and remains yet another ''achievement'' of Barack Obama.

Just over a week ago, we all lost a hero of this country. A warrior that has been decorated many times over. Chris Kyle was a US Navy SEAL. A warrior, a father, a husband a man, a man's man if you will. He was gunned down by a coward, as he was shot in the back by reports I have read.

Our President has chosen not to make one mention of this loss publicly. Not a peep, NOTHING... WHY???? This country owes EVERYTHING to the boys and girls, men and women of our armed forces... This SOB dosen't even mention him...

WHY IS A DRUG ABUSER HONORED AND A HERO, AGAIN MANY TIMES OVER, DECORATED HERO OF THIS NATION NOT EVEN GET A MENTION???

I AM ASHAMED.....

You're right.  And though it's shameful, what I'm shameful about is that there are that many folks within this great nation that felt there was good reason to vote for Obama in the first place putting him in the office he's in, and therefore allowing his nonsense to occur at all.  In essence it's difficult for me to reason that group of voters is even American, when they throw so many American values out with the bath water.

Too many people only think of themselves and in terms of the short run, thinking that's the side of the fence with the greenest grass (to be fair, some were scared into thinking that way by the lies of the current administration and others), and therefore jump toward empty promises (not that the Republicans aren't full of plenty of empty promises themselves).  When will the wake up call come?  I fear never, that a long slow demise is all we have to look forward to.  Scary.  I hope I'm wrong.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Repeat?  It can't be repeated enough.  The situation is a tragedy in and of itself.  Thanks for posting.

It's an example of where we are as a Nation. Sad, but true. I do agree with your post.

I truly feel your outrage! This is a VERY late post but I felt it my duty to agree, better late than never. I lost my uncle in Vietnam, he was behind a pair of 50's on River Patrol when they were in a "mutual" exchange and he was hit. As far as I'm concerned its a slap in his face and my whole family as well. Folks, thats not right!
