So when I saw 1000 round box of CCI brass 9mm for $899 today on grab a gun, I looked back in my purchases and saw I had bought it on 3/20/19 from PSA for $169. Wow, it went up over $700 in less than 2 years? Someone is making a lot more money than they want to own up to, and I don't think it is the manufacturer. Just saying.

It's only gouging if someone pays the girls it. And actually if someone willingly pays that I find it hard to call it gouging.

The market will correct itself when people stop paying prices like that for it.

Yes, but how many of the new shooters we have in the ranks now either don't know this pricing is obscene or feel they don't have any choice?

It kind of makes me happy that most of us aren't new shooters, and that most of us thought ahead. A weapon is pretty useless with no ammo 😀

Stopped by a gun shop today with a reloading supplies sign in the window. Never been there before so I thought why not. First thing I saw inside the door was a hand truck stacked to the top with Winchester small rifle primer cases. Asked about primer availability and was told, rather rudely, "..don't even look at those." Turns out they had large pistol primers, for $200/1000 :o

They also had many powders in stock, but would only sell them with "matching bullets." So I left with 500 Armscore 180gr fmj 10mm bullets and a lb of Power Pistol for $118 dollars. Another semi rude person explaining that they should be requiring me to buy 1000 bullets to "match" the powder.
