....does anyone make a smaller/shorter version?  I'll be shooting and half way through the magazine it will fall out and drop at my feet.  My son fired the pistol and he does not have the issue so I'm sure it's my grip and ham hands causing it.  I don't want to have a "special" grip just for this pistol.  Comparing it to my 1911s and others it sticks out a good 1/8th-3/16 inch further.

I think this is the standard sized catch.  The Match has an oversized.
