Recoil spring

Had some work done on my G20 slide.

Slide was milled for a optic and some weigh removed. About 1.6 ounces lighter with holosun 507c gr optic installed.

Also added a barsto barrel. I left it a bit on the tight side when fitting.

Frame is a factory Glock.

I got to take it out for a bit yesterday.

Got a few jams on blazer target ammo.

Bullet started to feed into the barrel. It stopped with the bullet still at a angle, but the brass just inside the barrel.

Just to check my understanding, I would want a heavier recoil spring correct?

What would be the you best guess on the correct weight spring?

Never had any failures with stock slide and barrel.

You didn't mention if the recoil system you are using is stock or what weight spring if aftermarket?
Well it could be that the aftermarket barrel along with the ammo is culprit...Aftermarket barrel being tighter chamber tolerances.
Blazer ammo may not be applying enough energy to drive the slide mass fully to the rear.

It would be best to get a recoil setup that comes with various spring weights to see what works and what doesn't.

Me personally I prefer a non-captive recoil spring (22lbs) for my G-20SF, it also adds more pressure at in battery condition.

Yes the recoil spring is the stock Glock.

I also did a plunk test with the barrel.

I Done a visual check on the barrel ramp. It does seem OK at this point but it's hard to say when it's cycling fast
