Are you guys noticing weird stuff with mailing packages. I sent a set of the dies I was selling from Minnesota to Montana USPS Priority Mail. I checked the tracking on the day it was supposed to be delivered and it was in Maryland. Today I checked the tracking on some fly tying stuff I ordered from Rapid City SD because it is 5 days overdue. For the past 5 days it hasn't moved from Rapid City. Tracking today says its in Memphis TN. Are these USPS employees just throwing packages onto which ever truck they choose. Its crazy.

Hey Rooster41,
I've been noticing the same thing, not a good thing

It's not only packages. About two months ago the local sheriff's department mailed me a redemption check, something that happens in some foreclosures, in the amount of several hundred thousand dollars. The money was for a client and not for me. The sheriff's office is 12 miles away from where my post office is over a direct road. A week later I asked about it and was told it had been mailed to me certified, RRR. After another week I called again. The sheriff's employee, whom I completely trust, inquired and was told the letter was in Denver, about 100 miles away and nowhere in the line from the sheriff to me. Third week. Another inquiry from me and from the employee. The letter is still in Denver. Fourth week, the employee calls me and says she now has the letter back as it had made a complete round trip in one month. She drove it to me that day. Our postal service in action and these imbeciles, to be kind, want to run the entire health system not to mention exercise control over the climate. This degree of incompetence, not to mention corruption and dishonesty as I'm expanding the coverage of this message to encompass more than just the postal service, can not have a good ending.

Isn't it funny that they're never late with bills or other dunnage?  >:D

They have gone to hell.  I cut a deal with UPS and moved all the Tromix freight over to them.  USPS just lost $100,000 in annual revenue.
What's more interesting is they don't care.  No one from USPS ever called or came by....nothing to see why we dumped them.
We were the number 1 biggest shipper at our small local post office.  They will be laying off at least one employee over our exit.

Unfortunate, but what else can you do, your business depends on punctuality

This is very true.  Saw this over and over working in the family direct mail business in the '80's.

For sure, and only continues to get worse
