Grand Power captured recoil spring

My first Grand Power P40 10mm came stock with an uncaptured red recoil spring. I have always kept several on hand and changed them out every 1k rounds or so. My newer Gen P40 10mm came with a captured recoil spring and I was wondering if anyone has had to change theirs out yet? If so, do you have to order the entire guide rod/spring asst.? Thanks for any input.
