A shame. Bill Ruger Senior only passed not too long ago.

RIP William. Ruger will forever be American Treasure.
How powerful is 10mm? Well, see those craters on the moon?

I hope they don't get sucked up by some big corporate group. That hasn't worked very well so far.

Lets hope that "Freedom Group" doesn't purchase another sporting company and start the big corporate greed micro-managing which ultimately beats smaller companies to death and bankruptcy..

I don't believe that the Ruger family has had any managerial input at Sturm Ruger for several years. Also the Freedom group targets companies which are failing, usually due to a lack of modernization for their purchases.  I'd say Ruger doesn't fit that criteria.

I hate to see any of these old great go.  But we all will.  Safe to say the name Ruger will always represent a lot of good things.  No doubt they lost their way a time or two (don't we all) but Ruger has always found it way back.
