Evening folks, I understand there are many factors involved, E.g. lost, dented, and so on. Because many, including myself run 10.4gr's Blue Dot under 180gr XTP / HAP bullets, I was curious what a guess would be on the number of times Starline brass could be reloading using the above BD load / bullet weight. In my case these will be used in a G20 gen 4, with a factory length KKM barrel.
Thanks

I loose it long before it runs out of steam. :P

I have had maybe 2-3 cases crack at the mouth.  I have some that surely have been reloaded 8-10 times.  I load them til a primer or bullet no longer has tension, and I would estimate that the typical case gets 8 reloads before I have lost it.

Thanks man, I'm lucky to not lose them when shooting at my outdoor spot : )

How many times do you load a case to the max?  One of my favorite loads is 10. grs of Blue Dot using a 200 gr. fmj. On this particular loading, I may reload this piece of brass one more time with this  amount of powder and then it goes into my brass selection for less powerful loads. If I don't like the case mouth tension on a lower powder loading, I crimp it and place it in a designated discard section. I have downsized my powder using Longshot in my G-20 from 9 grs. to 8.5 using a 180 gr fmj and may reload this particular case 2 more times using this receipt before it goes into section for lower powder loading.  ( This is starline brass )
Just interested in what other are doing.

Thanks
Jim

I have some a around 10x....  Starline brass with the same load

I was wondering about this question the other day. Glad to see a thread.  I figured I could get 5 moderate loadings out of a piece of Starline brass then recycle. I shoot book max loads but not above.  Maybe I should get a few more light loads out of it but don't really like to shoot light loads of out my 10mms.
Late to 10mm but loving it!

Me never, hence one of the reason I love shooting 10mm so much
