I haven't found anything on the 10mm Super Vel yet.

1250fps out of a 160gr bullet doesn't sound like a particularly hot load.

Zoom in on the expanded bullet pic. It looks like the core of the bullet has broken away from the bottom of the bullet cavity and rotated. Am I seeing that correctly?

$39.99 for 20count on a unproven bullet design strikes me as being a little loco.

The Barnes TAC-XP is a proven performer.  Buffalo Bore has watered
down their 10mm 155gr TAC-XP loading from the HAIRY EDGE of safety
with their crazy compressed powder formerly launching the pill at 1,500 FPS;
down to a pedestrian 1,350FPS.....  Still pretty hot with enegy coming in
at 627 ft/lbs at the muzzle but some safty tollerence built back in. 
I regularly see the new BB 10mm 155 TAC-XP being sold for $29.99 (or
there about) for 20 count at several online ammo suppliers.

I don't think the TAC XP bullet was designed for true 10mm velocities...hence the watering down.

I test fired the original 1,500fps BB 10mm TAC-XP through denim and into 1 gallon water jugs as a test.  It worked like a charm.  Although a single test means nothing.

The TAC-XP 140's I tested worked as advertised handloaded
10.5 grain Blue Dot @ 1178 fps
12.6 grains of AA#9 (had to adjust powder shoving the bullet back out 1.270")(Totally compressed @ 12.6 gr.) @ 1181 fps
10.7 grains of AA#7 @ 1112 fps
8.2 grains of Long Shot @ 1247 fps
8.0 grains of Power Pistol @ 1220 fps

They could be pushed faster except the AA#9 load which was compressed to max.

Okay good to know. I am wondering what the manufacturer's recommendations might be, but this is still good information.
