I finally got my 9x25 setup on my Witness and chambered up a 6" barrel for it today.  Recoil spring was a 30 pound dual setup and the slide locked back with all loads.

Cases were nickel plated Starline, CCI 300 primers, VV N105 powder.  COAL 1.255

15.0gr N105 Hornady   90gr XTP 2020 fps
13.0gr N105 Hornady 124gr XTP 1730 fps
11.0gr N105 Hornady 147gr XTP 1505 fps

Keep in mind, these loads were fired with non-magnum primers.  The loads would need to be backed off quite a bit if you use magnum primers.

Despite what I have read about the 9x25, I didn't notice any muzzle flash (shooting indoors) and recoil was surprisingly mild.

Those are awesome results! Congrats!

I have been super interested in the 9x25 Dillon and now that I have a Witness Hunter in 10mm I'm even more interested. Can I ask if you rechambered the barrel or had someone do it? If someone, can I ask who? If you did it can I ask where you got the parts and how?

Order a 38 super barrel from EAA for your Hunter.

He can ream it for you.

I bought the chamber reamer from JGS and got a 9mm barrel from EAA and rechambered it.

Thanks for the data Tony, I haven't messed with the VV powders very much...Be using Longshot, Blue Dot, Power Pistol and 800X  for mine.  Have some to test with CFE Pistol, and Winchester Autocomp based off the 357Sig data.

When I first started I was using the S&W 1006 with 5" bbl and the G-29 with the 3.78" bbl so I never got to the upper numbers with the shorter barrels.  Since I did get the 6.02" bbl for the G-20 the velocity numbers really come alive... ;D

Tony, where did you source the 30lb spring setup?

TonyRumore

I machined a new guide rod that is smaller in diameter, allowing me to add a second spring inside of the standard one.
