How can a barrel cause a light strike?

I have an LWD 10mm extended (4.6") barrel for my G29 that are giving me light strikes once in a while. Makes no sense to me. If you can shoot 40sw out of the 10mm barrel because of the extractor holding the cartridge in place why not the 10mm cartridge?

I have three barrels, G29 original, 40sw and extended 10mm. I compared them and used the calipers and they are identical with tight tolerances. The original and the 40sw barrels were never a problem but the extended one. Makes no sense at all.

Any idea guys?

Did you clean your striker channel and firing pin?

Slide may not be closing all the way. Is the top of the barrel (hood?) parallel with the top of the slide?

The primers are not fully seated, so the first primer strike seats the primer, and the second one ignites the primer.

I had the G29 a few months with maybe 300-400 rounds through it. The ammo is Uw and the light strike is in the center of the primer so I'd think the G29 was in full battery.

The problem is with just the 10mm extended barrel.

my_old_glock  brings up good suggestions to study.  The long barrel may be slightly out of tolerance Lay the tops of both against each other to check the distance of the barrel hood to the end of the square flat front section.  Look as the firearm is assembled that the slide is closed and in the same spot at the front and rear as the factory barrel.  If the LWD extended barrel is holding slightly out of full battery you may get a light strike.  Check all mating surfaces to see if they the same between the two LWD barrels as compared to the factory one.

What I said in my first post, I used the calipers but I guess I can double check.

From what I can tell, all the dimensions are the same. It seems that they used the Glock barrels as the pattern for their CNC machines.

This is it. it was so slight that I didn't even notice it. You're right, that's the problem.  When I got the 9x25 barrel I was getting light strikes so I put the Glock barrel back in to shoot some 10mm and i was getting light strikes with it too.

Turned out that I need a stronger recoil spring.
