Here is a list off the top of my head of some of the pistol cartridges I cam up with:
10mm Magnum case necked down to 30 cal. (similar to the one mentioned above).

I THINK I remember reading that the base of the case of the 7.5mm cartridge is almost 11mm, not 10mm, which is close to .44mag diameter (whose bullet is actually .43" in diameter, I think).

There was the 224 BOZ which was the 10mm necked down to .224", it greatly reduced the case capacity, but the light bullets did gain some head of steam...RIA is utilizing this with their 22TCM.

The reason for going to 30 cal or .224 is because they already make rifle projectiles to utilize for the loadings.

The 9x25 Dillon at least keeps things usable from the 10mm firearms with nothing more than a conversion barrel and careful loadings.  These were developed to get higher energies for competition till the rules changed and powders advanced to yield better energy from the 9mm cartridges.

Yes, Randy Shelley actually did produce the 9x30 Dillon using the 10mm magnum case necked down with the same dies for the 9x25, this keeps the shoulder sharper and maintains more case capacity.  As I mentioned above they don't make many great 9mm bullets to hold up to the higher velocities or in a rifle profile such as Spitzer with a boat tail.  Given the cartridge overall length this would keep the nose length ogive very short to allow enough neck support to prevent setback issues.

I can see the possibility of a barrel conversion for my Kimber 10mm to this new cartridge.

Here is the thing about the 7.5 the Cartridge Over All Length is 35mm or 1.378"...much too long for the 10mm guns to handle.
Lord help me if we ever get some 9mm rifle style bullets for the 9x25 Dillon cartridge!

BTW the 10mm Magnum would be 1.555" (39,48mm) MAXIMUM
