I've been using the Midway competition bag for 3 years and it has held up very well.  You sure can pack a lot of stuff in one.  Lots of pouches and zippers.  Hard to beat at $59.  Either they raised the price or I got mine on sale for $49. Picked up their AR range bag a couple of months ago.  Also excellent. Still at $49.

It's a good thing they come with a shoulder strap.  Dang thing can get pretty heavy when loaded with 3 pistols and 9mm, 45 ACP, and 10mm ammo, and all the other junk I haul to the range.

Yes, sometimes the midway bags are regular price but almost always come on sale.

I have been through several and recently bought the gps outdoors tactical backpack for a range bag. It is one of the better designs. It has a zippered hardshell compartment that holds three gun bags. Each zippered bag holds a pistol and magazines i. Seperate compartments.
I used it at several indoor nd outdoor matches until I took it tk a Glock .atch loaded with three pistols, 400 rounds of ammo, 12 magazines and assorted range stuff.
I about threw my back out carrying it. I sold it on Ebay.
Before that I uzed thd 511 Rush 24 backpack and I really liked it but it would not sit upright and was always fling over or off a table.
Midway compact bag for now but we will see.

I currently use the LA Police Gear tactical bailout bag as my range bag.   This thing has some great storage!  Link provided:   http://www.lapolicegear.com/tabaoutbag.html for $19.99

Since I usually take several guns to the range for myself and my son, I've been thinking about upgrading to this one - the jumbo version. http://www.lapolicegear.com/lapg-jumbo-diaper-bag.html for $29.99.   Diapers just happen to fit in pouches designed for AR mags.   :)

I use a tool bag. its one that comes with those battery drill/saw combo sets. very heavy duty with lots of pockets and room. because it says Makita on the outside, it is also "covert" and doesn't upset the grass eaters like a tacticool gun bag might in some situations. best part is the price, free! I got mine from a trash pile. people are always throwing them out after the Chinese tools crap out. :D

I use one of their bags also, the "zombie hunter" one.. I do not pack lightly either and it's held up well so far
