Sig Sauer Hunt Ready 10mm with Romeo Red Dot Update

I received word from Sig Sauer about the P220 Hunt ready with Romeo Red Dot. Unfortunately the news was not good, and has implications into the whole electro optics line.

They finally told me that the hunt ready with the red dot would not be out in time for any hunting season. But that the camo one without red dot would be available. I confirmed that it is, there are several on gunbroker.

The most that the person would tell me is that the electro optics line has hit a snag and won't be ready for a while. He wouldn't say if it was the whole line or just the romeo. But given that sig has missed all their dates to have any of the electro optics on the shelf it's likely something more overarching than just the romeo couldn't stand up to 10mm recoil.

Here's hoping that Sig can get whatever the snag is straightened out in time for next season. I was really looking forward to using a p220 10mm in the brush on one of the farms I hunt.



I also found out that Fusion Firearms is just a short drive from me. If Sig doesn't have the hunt ready ready by mid april Ill be commissioning a 6" fusion 10mm cut for an optic and coated in nickel boron for the woods. Fusion said if I want I can come pick up the gun at their location and tour it while there once its ready.
