I just received an email from Georgia Arms that their 10mm Gold Dot 180gr load is available. They also have 155gr available. I ordered 1000 rounds for $610 and free shipping (free shipping with orders over $500.00). Their 50 round packs are priced at $31.00. They list the 180gr Gold Dot load at 1200 fps. I haven't seen any chronographs of this particular load unless i missed it on the master sheet. If it is loaded near that velocity, that will be perfect for what I want out of it.

Yeah, I saw the 155's were gone on Sunday and ordered another 1000 of the 180's. They arrived today. I'm set for a long long time.

Figures. Love their 155s at 1375. My guess and someone chime in that pent ration would be better than U/Ws 155s at 1500?

I don't trust Speer bullets to hold together at higher velocities. I prefer an XTP or Silver tip over 1300 FPS. And what's with Georgia Arms calling an under powered round +P?

Gold Dots seldom loose weight even when driven at over 1300fps. Not that they are intended for that velocity, nor will they penetrate deeper except in certain circumstances such as when they are almost ready to come apart. Such as TNOUTDOORS9 test of the Underwood 10mm 180gr Gold Dot. They will tend to loose less weight than an XTP thru tough barriers such as a windshield. They even loose less weight than Hornady's bullet specifically designed for barriers, the Critical Duty.
