If it needed a buffer gaston would have included one in the design... all these stupid thing slike those are just like the old snake oil products.. they dont really do crap but waste your money.

For a competition use only, the shok-buff has a use. For a daily carry weapon, life dependancy weapon, you are intruducing a "foreign" failure point. I say "foreign" as it was not an original design element/part from the factory.

I did not like very well mine. It surely did cause a malfunction or three every now and then. For plinking I liked the fact that I knew I was adding some protection for my gun. I could give it a slightly above half thumbs up for range practice but I wouldn't carry it with this in it.

I will say with your standard weak factory loads this didn't cause any problems but Underwood would mess it up. The exact thing I was trying to protect it from.

I thought about getting one for my Witness C, but it's more of a temporary bandaid than a long term solution.
