Well, I got to pick up the pistol this week, and I ran 25 rounds through it today.

The pistol is precision.  There just doesn't seem to be any play anywhere.  Its tight.  The pistol ships with plenty of oil on it.  There was a couple 2x2 patches with quite alot of oil on them to get it reasonablly dry.  I chose to just use Eezox on all surfaces and see how things went on its first outing.

The pistol feels good in the hand.  It was more compact in the grip than I was expecting for a double stack 10mm.  it is a pretty pistol in my opinion, but there again, I'm not a black gun fan for the most part.  The gun just seems to fit.  It points naturally and the front sight just seems to be where it needs to be when raising the gun.  I was really looking forward to shooting this one at the range!  It had some weight, but balanced well.

I had some favored rounds loaded up for the G20, and I thought it would make some decent fodder for the new gun.  I decided to not shoot the Underwood loads until I had access to some different springs.  I hit the range with only the one magazine the gun shipped with.

The first rounds left me impressed by how solid it felt, how little the percieved recoil was, and how well the gun got back on target.  Sweet!!!  I can't say it ran flawlessly.  I don't know exactly why, but it liked to hang up feeding one round, the third one remaining in the magazine.  I ran alot of five round series.  Bang, bang, had to push the slide with the thumb, bang, bang, bang.  And it did it consistantly!!!

The groups were about half the size of what I usually shoot.  Natural pointing, very decent DA trigger, and a great job of absorbing recoil all likely had something to do with that.  I have a feeling I'm going to like this gun 8).

I expect the hang feeds are going to be a non-issue.  Eezox is a dry lubricant and a little grease/oil might be all thats necessary.  A stronger recoil spring should also help.  Those things, ramp polishing, and some break in and I think it will be fine.  It does chuck those empties a ways with the stock spring.

Thumbs up so far.  Spring selection and extra magazines are inbound.  Then it will be seeing what it eats, and what it might not like.

Inthercooler, EAA owes you a compensation for talking me into this one.  Maybe a guide rod or something :))

That's odd about the feeding issue so far. My Hunter was used and runs day in and day out perfectly with everything,  except when I break something like a stupid two-piece guide rod  :o My Limited, Match and Pro were all new out of the box and never an issue or broken piece except some sight downfalls running everything perfectly.
Did it come with the black follower K10 magazine and black case? It's required you post pictures  8)

Here is the list of how sure it up for a long and useful life:

- Henning Cone guide rod $35
- Henning flat bottom firing pin block $25
- Dawson fiber-optic front sight $30 (if you like them)
- Wolf 20-22lb recoil spring $8 (I use 22's in my 4.75" pistols)

I hate EAA the company but Tanfoglio pistols are pretty darn nice.
