You can skip almost to the end for the 10mm portion. He used "armor piercing rounds" in his 10mm  :o Is that like Depleted Uranium  ;D Where can I score some of those for testing?  :-X

Interesting, but may not be a true AP round, with a steel or tungsten penetrator inside.  Some cast rounds can penetrate 1/4' mild steel plate at velocity.

I bet his "special" rounds were just Hardcast  ;)

<"armor piercing rounds">

Had a gent at the range show me some lath turned 10mm rounds he was using/testing for hunting... looked like a semi-wad but was made from solid metal... he stated it was brass.

I'd prob go with hard cast, but he stated these were better... his chrono was running in the 1200-1250 range (unknown weight)

Maybe Uncle Ted should have used the 10mm in the first place, rather than the arrow.

Bullet selection with the 10MM is critically important. I used my Glock 20 in 2004 to put the finishing shot into a Blue Wildebeest. It was loaded with 200gr XTP's. The first shot hit a rib and deflected off and under the skin, traveling about 17" from the point where it made the 90 degree turn.

I would not used that bullet again, but instead would go with a 200gr hardcast gas checked semi-wadcutter. Something heavier with a higher sectional density would be even better.
