For those FB friends specific to Jeff on his personal page, I wanted to request prayer for him at this time.
Jeff is in Vanderbilt Hospital with an undetermined, aggressive form of a blood infection.
He was admitted on Wednesday afternoon with a team of Doctors waiting for him. He currently has 3 teams working with him as they attempt to identify the type of infection so they may treat accordingly. This is unlike anything they have seen before.
He has been on a slow drip of antibiotics for 2 days and his fever is now gone and he has begun to eat & drink some.
However, the infection remains and he is in the best of care in the ICU at Vanderbilt. He is isolated w/no visitors at this time.
Although he wants to stay to finally be diagnosed & treated correctly, I know he's getting better as he wants to get out so he can fulfill his commitments to GUNBLAST with the projects on his calendar.
Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I'm sure Jeff will be back on here soon and teasing you once again with all those firearms he gets to "play around with".

I need to add that I pasted that from a singleactions forum. As many of you know, Jeff is a big fan of all things 10mm and has done several articles and reviews of 10mm guns. I don't watch the video reviews much but there is a lot of good info buried within the GUNBLAST.com website.

Good news!

Jeff Update:
Ladies & Gentlemen...we have a winner!!
Vandy teams have identified the bacteria and now know the exact antibiotics to use.
Also, instead of 4-hour drips, it will only be 30-minutes.
Looking at discharge from Vandy probably tomorrow w/ home health support!
Still a ways to go but it's sure looking much better than 72 hours ago.
Thank you my dear FB Prayer Warriors.
Oh...and the photo below reflects the healing "medicine" that money can't buy & heals the heart with the power of love.

  Still working through it:

Thank you all for the prayers in my behalf. Keep praying, if you will. Just found out that instead of going home, I am going back into surgery.

Jeff Update:
Well, well my Facebook Prayer Warriors...you can all get a little bit cocky and rejoice in the power of prayer!!
Surgeon just called up and and noted that there was no need for further amputation(s).
After going back into the foot/toes, it was clear that tissue is still living and the Dr. could not justify amputation. A major clean up of the area where the infection still lies was in order.
Looks like Jeff Quinn might not need that Gunblast Scooter he was designing after all.
Still got a ways to go with fighting that infection but we can do that.
Thanks to ALL of you for the kind words, thoughts, e-mails, posts and those powerful prayers!!
My lesson learned: I will never pass up an opportunity to pray for those FB friends who request a prayer. It matters. It really does.
