taters

hi folks  , my name is taters. just picked up a gen 4 10mm.. i want to use it for hog and deer hunting..
i placed an order with corbon for some hunting ammo but none to be had  they put me on the list
i bought a couple of boxes of generic ammo just to practice with until my corbon gets here
any recommendations for brand and type of ammo for hog and deer hunting will be appreciated .
i never hunted before except in the marines in viet nam and those critters shot back  thanks in advance      taters

I would vote Underwood or Buffalo Bore over Corbon.  For either critter I favor heavy lead bullets with a WFN.  Both companies load a 220 grain that should be good medicine for your purpose.

What he said ^^^! The underwood 220 grn. Load should drop a pig in its tracks when you do your part. If your aim is off you might have to walk a little. I want to try it on a buffalo....

Don't fool yourself into thinking you need "boutique" ammo to hunt with the 10mm.

Garden variety Winchester 175gr SilverTip.

Silvertip works great, and I never said otherwise.

But it is also 44% more expensive than the underwood 220 grain.  For me it isn't about "boutique". It is about economy.

Your not going to find Underwood at your local store.

I don't find Winchester Silvertips in 10mm at my local stores either.  Blazer, and on good days, American Eagle.  And generally Buffalo Bore.

Wish I could find something more than the mouse fart blazer loads for sale at a local shop

Guys I know I might take some flack here but reloading is THE best way to get the best possible ammo for the 10mm worth the investment and with current events and the President vowing once again to restrict ammo and guns availability will be tougher than ever. Now is the time RCBS Rock Chucker reloading kit.
