For Pacapcop about my Elite Match and the guide rod versus Henning

Looks real similar and my little peening is magnifying glass material. With the Henning rod I think we will be Golden. Henning said one weekend he shot (don't shoot me if I give the wrong answer) I think 25k rounds. Is that even possible

Received the Henning guide rod today and buffer

Stock Match rod in place. Pretty easy to move around and not much surface area contact

I tried with and without the buffer. I can see how it would help for sure but as Henning stated as it wears could cause hang-ups. Not for carry! Now looking at it I wonder if much of it can't be just remedied with the correct spring for the load?

Took the buffer out already. Just working the action and the slide didn't want to go in lock-back.

It's funtioning perfect with the 22lb. spring but the buffer in place creates an issue on lock-back. I'm just going to leave it out because I really don't think I need it. With the spring, rod and block I think it's golden!

Well i just removed my previous comment.Your up and running.Ill try the buffer with the 18lb spring and Henning Rod just for shits and giggles.Ill be at range wed,I hope.long term ill think it help with this set up.henning shoots i think alot more than you and i combined lol.

Just ordered the fiber optic sight from Dawson Precision for the Match.

Very cool! Please post some pictures and your thoughts on it when you get it on. I have the Henning on my Hunter but wondered about the Dawson and factory EAA fiber sights.

Ran the Match today with the new guide rod. 100% pefect funtion as normal!
