Federal’s Premium Punch 9MM, 124Gr JHP

Anyone tried Federal's new Premium Punch 9MM, 124Gr JHP? Have read a few reviews, and look pretty decent  $22.99 for 20 rd's at our local shop.

I've looked at them but haven't picked any up.  I was curious about them and what the feature & benefit over other JHPs in Federal's lineup. 

As near as I can tell, they are super close to HST (a cheaper version).  The HST is optimized to handle all of the FBI penetration protocols around consistent penetration depth of projectile even after going through metal, glass, dtc, etc....  If the information I found is correct, these are not built to quite the same standards and intended for civilians as they theoretically don't need quite the same level of performance (vs, LE or Gov. Agency). 

While not quite up to HST standards, they don't appear to be any cheaper at the retail level. 
Therefore, I've just stuck with HST.

For sure, have a bunch of HST 124gr +P on hand from 2018 and 19, think I'll pass as well 😊

I actually picked up a box to test, and was surprised when I opened the box and noticed they were brass cased instead of nickel plated.

Will be testing them sometime shortly from the full size XDm 3.8 9mm.
