Loading the 10mm in Volume is new to us so we reached out to the members of another forum for once fired brass and have now accumulated about 3K rounds. For hunting bullets we had no trouble rounding up some 200gr. XTPS and some 200gr WFN GC hard cast lead. For 180gr bullets for range ammo we reached out to local shooters (via the LGS) who have abandoned the .40 S&W and have gotten some real deals on both cast, FMJs and plated bullets. Have rounded up enough 180s to fill a couple of .50cal. cans with practice ammo for the son and I.

Thats good stuff.

The LE move away from 40 will have some short term benefits for us 10mm guys as you have realized in your scrounging.  But, I fear long term it may be not so great as there is less market pressure for .400 projectiles.

Since I believe in keeping things simple and am not much an experimenter, we could probably get along fine with just 3 projectiles for the 10mm; a 180gr plated bullet (HP or FP) for range use, the Hornady XTP/200 gr., and a hard cast 200gr. WFN/LBT (gas checked or not) for hunting and field use.
