Maybe he meant both at the same time, one in each hand ::) Stopping power and penetration all at once! Wait, there is an auto round for that..... :))

Given the username and content of posts, I think we might have a new friend that lives under a bridge.............

In response to "10mm for deer? I'd prefer something with power "

When you consider the lower end of  9mm projectile weight, 115gr's, the Blazer target ammo is doing aprx 1145 FPS, with a muzzle energy of aprx 335, then you take the 10mm Underwood 220 hard cast, nearly twice the weight of the 9mm will produce a Muzzle Energy of aprx 703 ft lbs, and will be traveling at aprx 1200 FPS. I can say by personal experience, the 10mm for Whitetail wins hands down. For me, my favorite Whitetail load is the Underwood 180, or 200gr XTP
Thanks

He's trolling this forum Ken. Check out his exchange with Patriot http://10mm-firearms.com/general-discussion/where's-the-springfield-xd-10mm-6843/msg76415/#msg76415 Love it when he refers to himself as a "professional shooter" and continues on with more nonsense. He's just trying to get a rise out of us.

I've taken white tail with 180 XTP factory loads with no problem. Limited expansion of a 200 grain of a HC to me would be more limiting.

Some states, like Missouri, demand an expanding bullet with a 50 yard energy of 450 ft.lbs, so the Underwoods and Buffalo Bore loads might not be legal, due to their requirements.

I'm not going to editorialize on that, but I'd think that anything 180-200 expanding bullets (XTPs, for one example) would be dandy bullets for a little old whitetail. Funny thing is, they allow ANY centerfire rifle, but limit handgun cartridges to those above (Still have to use expanding bullets, though).
