41 AE

Mine is the Tanfoglio 41 I got at a super low price at a gun show. I called Tanfoglio and they sent me a 9mm barrel and spring but I have so many 9's I converted it back to 41AE. I shoot it once in a while but love to reload so I am working up a load. Craig

Sounds like we have similar TZ?s. I forgot to mention that I have a 9mm conversion as well. I?m not sure if I ever shot it with the 9 come to think of it.

Hey Vice when you got like 10 9mm in the safe there is no reason to make the 41 a 9mm but it did shoot good as I remember. Anyway I have 50 empties in the wet tumbler and will load the 150g Lehigh bullet. I really just got into reloading the 41 but not to into shooting it.  Craig

Well finished the Lehigh 45 rounds in 41AE and did them at 8.8g Power Pistol.  The 150g weight aught to fly OK as 9.0 was max for 40 cal. I still loaded a little light due to length of bullet so we will see. Craig

Well back from the range and all I can say is WOW. The Lehigh is there, rounds at 8.7 and 150g bullet was very stout to say the leased. and I was comparing it to the 210g JHP I did a few years ago and the Lehigh were right there. I loved it. I will compare these to the samsom factory rounds but I am sure they will compare fine. What a good time!!!!  Craig

Shot 50 IMI samson 200g 41AE this afternoon and found 49 of the empties. These seemed the same as my 150g Lehigh rounds so I will do more at 8.5g power pistol. It's another sesssion where the black dot went away but still too many didn't hit the black, oh well!!!Craig

This is kind of funny!! The man running the target range said he would look for my lost 41AE brass as he has to sweep the whole range throughout the day. I found a stray spent case in my living room of my house and yes it's a 41AE. I left a message for the man to stop looking!! Well I got a bunch of everything to reload this weekend!!!  Craig

Back at this just for something to do!! I loaded some with Alliant 300mp and it was exciting! Being that slow a powder max is like 17.5 so I loaded at 16 and what a flash and the sound was load. I loaded some more at 14 and it was OK but will settle on 14.5. The power pistol rounds at 8.5 are the best so far but I am out of the powder. Not having the right powder is a problem for me as I forget what I have loaded a week later and must unload one to see what I did. I know better labeling is in order right? Ha Ha   Craig
