Mossberg s are tanks for sure I have two of the shockwaves one in 12 and one in 20 gauge. I find them very easy to yield and with the added laser easy to get hits on target. They are not for everyone but I sure like mine for HD weapon. Everyone has their preference for a wide variety of reasons. All good use what you choose and choose to practice.

Maybe they are today, but 25 years ago, every single one of them broke the cheesy plastic safety off.

Sorry to here that I have run thousands of rounds through my Mossberg all slugs and 00 buck no issues yet. Market drives pricing and features..

Absolutely, thanks man, love my 835 turkey, not much for HD, but nails it for coyotes with Carlson's Coyote choke and heavy shot dead coyote loads : )

Suggest for budget home defense gun !
Rem 870 Wingmaster and install a 20? Rem Slug barrel with sights.
Take the plug out and zero it in with good Federal Prem slugs and then pattern it with A Turkey load copper plated BB
This would make a great home defense gun as the BB is big enough to do severe damage but not as much penetration in home walls.

Mossberg Maverick 88.  Security model.

You can even buy an Opsol spacer for it which will allow you to shoot mini-shells.   The buckshot is a hard hitter!

I?ve got a small laser cube on the barrel.   Point and shoot.

Thanks, I picked up a Turkish made Winchester SXP Defender in dark earth a while back, and is claimed to be one of the fastest pump shotguns on the market. At its price point (low two hundreds) it?s been fantastic. I actually like it more than my two 870?s

I?ve heard good things on the Turkish guns?..

Another budget Turkish weapon I?m really enjoying is the Sarsilmaz SAR9, 1K down range with zero malfunctions, and was only $239.00 on GB , plus the reviews rate them very high

In no particular order for pumps:

Mossberg 500 or 590
Maverick 88 (see above)
Rem 870
Winchester 1200, 1300, 1400

If you can find an Ithaca 37 would be nice too.

Even a good single shot and handful of shells is better than strongly worded letters and well wishes.
This post checked by independent fact checkers, and they're all pissed off about it.
