For as much guff as Hi-Point, and Hi-Point owners get, I sure like my 1095TS 10mm Carbine. I took it out again today to dial in the Holosun HE503CU-GR, and I gota say, I?ve forgotten how much it is. It?s certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing, and should have been designed to take Glock mags, but other than that, it?s a darn fun and reliable weapon at its price point, plus it has been malfunction free with over 1K through it so far 😀

Among the HiPoint defeciences, reliability and durability are not big offenders.

They are tough and reliable even if they are ugly to look at and non too accurate.  For all the people who put down Highpoints, I don't know of very many other brands that can handle the punishment a HP will.  I have watched videos of people TRYING to blow them up; even hammering rebar into the end of the barrel and it still clears it without blowing up.  In the end, they had to actually weld rebar into the end of the barrel to cause a catastrophic failure.

Pros:  tough, reliable, and cheap

cons: ugly, heavy, not super accurate.

Now you guys are starting to make me consider passing on getting a lever gun and getting a High point 10mm.

Kenk

It?s unfortunate they don?t accept Glock mags, but that?s ok. Other than being heavier than most, and a bit funky looking, mine has run 100%, and for the price, it?s tough to beat

Huntchick

Kenk, How accurate is it? say 25 to 50 yards? I saw online a few comments about it not being real accurate why im asking.

Kenk

Also the 1095TS is built like a tank, not giving a thought when it comes to hot loads (at least in my experience)

Huntchick

Sounds good and tough. Yes be nice if it took glock mags or offered in a 15 or 20 round mags for it.

I use a HOLOSUN HE503CU-GR on it, and works great at 25 yards and out, it?s no tack driver, but would work well for whitetail for say 50 yard shots and under

Huntchick

Nice, what size group would you say is typical at say 30 yards with it ?

If weight isn?t an issue on long hikes, it would do well

Really appreciate your knowledge and honest input Kenk . It sounds like a great, tough and fun gun to shoot. I would prefer something that shoots tighter groups like 1" to 1 1/2"  groups at 30 yards. Anything much over that would probably not make me happy in a rifle. I've got a 9mm AR that shoots about 2" and it frustrates me sometimes.

Kenk

I?m sure some could shoot tighter groups 1095
