Sent my P220 Hunter 10mm back to to Sig due to the camo print flaking off. This is apparently a common problem with this finish, and will be stripped and bead blasted at no charge, other than the insanity high price Sig gets for their rosewood grips, $120.00. Between the stainless finish and grips, it ought to look really nice 😊

Here is my 10mm SIG 220 when it was new.

I like the looks a lot more than the camo crap.

Kenk

Way nice, really looking forward to its return. I liked the camo, but think I'll like this much more

asked Mike, the Sig rep if will it look as nice as a P220 Elite that you would see at your LGS, he said absolutely, hope he's right

Kenk

Well the P220 Hunter is back, and I tell ya, Sig did a really nice job, with the stainless finish and the rosewood grips, Wow 😀

Absolutely, plus it's like getting a new weapon for free other than the rip cost of the grips, $120.00  : (

If anyone wants to lose the camo finish on their P220 Hunter, contact Michael Chandler at Sig, and he will set it up. Mine had very very very minimal flaking if any : ), plus I was getting a bit tired of the camo. At that point you would need to tell Mike that you would like the rosewood grips, he will then take your card info for the grips ($120.00) and your done, no additional expense, plus Sig covers shipping both ways. Two weeks later, you will have one bad a** looking weapon. Also Mike said this was a common issue, no questions asked, + Mike's a really nice guy, and totally knows his stuff 😀

I'm not sure how other gun manufactures operate, but RIA and Sig are right on the money, at least in my experience
