Looks like the ATF has declared Arm Braces a "Shouldering Device" !

Not all braces, just some.  If you brace came with a letter that called out that brace by model number (as all mine did), then I think you have at least a safe harbor.  If the ATF says they wanna chat with you though follow the suggested protocols of having a lawyer present and a friend keep your dog for a few days.

The reality seems to be that this is a fluid situation and we may be in for a long haul to actually get a final decision.

I Just read this morning about 16 senators are raising cane about this , they have sighed a petition to reverse the ATF 's  B/S

Under the category of hard pills to swallow:  The Republicans controlled the Senate, House and Presidency for two years and took no action during that time to remediate the laws that these administrative rules derive from.  And it wasn't from lack of grassroots feedback from there base or lack of lobbying.  There was even a bill to remove sound suppression devices.

The cynic in me believes it's because both parties find the gun control issue to be a useful wedge issue to get voters motivated.

As already noted, it won't matter if it already hasn't.

If it looks like a duck... I see shooters using them as a stock, and as a matter of fact, I have yet to see someone demoing a brace and actually strapping it to their wrist. ATF, and local LEO's are seeing the same people at ranges that I have and there goes the duck, eaten for dinner.

What needs to be done is get rid of the whole concept of a SBR which I think will not happen.

As well as the expense, time waiting, and overall scrutiny to obtain a suppressor. As long as you can pass the given background checks, you should be able to walk into your local shop, plop down your hard earned cash, and then walk out with your give item

The biggest gripe to most of us is the lack of definition. Every other branch has definable rules/specs. They won't set specs and get to make decisions based on "I think". I can't think of anyone else who says something (braces, bump stocks) are not illegal 1 day, then illegal the next.

We need more Reps & Senators to sign onto the letter that was sent a while back by, I believe, 16 different lawmakers.

Not enough. What we need is a federal law that states something like...

"Any elected official that gets sworn in and challenges the U.S. Constitution is automatically in breach of oath they took upon entering office and automatically relinquishes said office"

Since they swear (or affirm) the below, I see that it should be simple to throw out lawmakers who propose legislation that is constitutionally secured.

"I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion,

You seem to believe that federal laws are actually obeyed and enforced. Against you and me perhaps; against politicians and other privileged oligarchs? Not so much. Indeed, more like not at all.
