I've done a cursory search for this weapon online and came up with Thompson making them for the civilian market in the early nineties.

I've also caught a glimpse of them on Gunbroker.

I'm interested in four things:

1. What were the weapon specifics, e.g. rifling twist rate, rate of fire, accuracy, FBI choice of ammunition;
2. Thoughts by those in the field who used the weapon;
3. If any other Federal agency employed them and
4. If Thompson had or has given thought to re-releasing them in civilian form.

Thanks in advance.

Yes they were made back in the day, Don't know how many were produced.  Don't know about the chamber support or how they handled the higher performance ammo.
Interesting iconic weapon much like the M&P-5 10mm's were...
