Only 411 were made. Not surprising you've never heard of one. I've never seen one.

It is not a Combat Elite but an Elite 10/40, no combat.

I ended up with two of them as I bought a used one years ago and  bought a LNIB later to up grade.

All the rest of the Colt Elite Series were Gold Cups and were two tone also, blued slides and stainless frames.  I always wished the 10/40 was a Gold Cup also.  They came in 9mm, 38 Super, 40 S&W, and 45 acp. 

There was also a Elite IX Plus which came in 9mm with an extra 38 Super barrel.  There are only 30 of those around.

The Elite 40 is the only 40 S&W Gold Cup ever produced by Colt.

I would love one of those.
