If I'm using a kkm aftermarket barrel for a Glock 20 3rd gen is it absolutely necessary that I need a push through die  before I full-length resize the brass?

Thanks

Only way to tell id if you have a cartridge case gauge, if the pass that test then you don't need to pass through size.  However feeding 100 % reliable is why I pas through size.
But I will say, it doesn't hurt to do the pass through sizing to insure they do pass the case gauge.  I have seen some brass expand very low and just at the start of the extractor cut, the standard sizing dies may not size that portion of the case because the shell holder occupies some of the area and then the radius of the inside the start of the sizer die.

I do the push-through sizer AFTER I full-length resize. Is that not the normal order?

Muskrat, when I push through I do it before, but that is because I load on a progressive.  Once I feed it into the progressive press it is going to pop out the other side loaded.

I have said it before, Im ol guy Preachin' ol' school and simple cause no need to make it complicated.

I have had a Delta Elite since the four diget SN. Late '87. BOUGGT MY FIRST G20 as a first gen gun...
i have Shot tens if thousands of cases the 10mm's. If I haven't shot more I have shot as many for as long or longer then many. IF IT NEEDS A PUSH THRU TO FUNCTION YOUR GUN BUY NEW BRASS...  This is ESPECIALLY value-able as it comes from pushing the envelope and nee brass is SAFER.

Not if your shooting the brass thru the same KKM barrel.

I shoot a KKM barrel, and I'm always impressed with how much resistance some of those pieces of brass provide going through the Lee bulge buster after being full-length resized. I don't know whether they were so deformed that they wouldn't seat...I've used the bulge buster since I started reloading 10mm, but some of them sure feel like they might not.

I can tolerate a lot of things, but failure-to-feed's are not one of them, regardless of whether I'm plinking, competing, or trying to shoot bad guys. To me it's a no-brainer to take any steps available to get the brass back into specification before reloading them.

Drop them is a case size gauge, if they do your wasting your time.

It takes the same amount of time to plunk-test each round as it does to run them through the bulge-buster, so I don't see the savings.

Its your time, I have a KKM in a G29(14.5 #9/180 gr coated) & I do neither, some cases I've loaded 50 times & they fit fine.

Yes, we all choose to do things a little differently based on our experiences, education, and habits.

Just as Shadow said;
I only use the Pass-Thru Die when the Case doesn't drop freely in and out of the Case Gauge

So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

This is why I just use the push through after cleaning. Then into the case feeder hopper.
