I worked these up a few years ago but don't remember much about them except a 9mm bullet only weighs 65g. With my success with 90g lately would I be safe to load lighter bullets with the same load of powder? These do need to be shot at a high velocity but I don't mind real light. Any input will be nice.  Craig

Well Inceptor did have some data at their site so I am good to go except they don't list my powder but do list HP-38 that I have and can use.  Craig

OK they also had Universal listed so I used that at 5.0 as 5.2 was starting and I really wanted light. Will update as I shoot them but we are still underwater.  Craig

Hey Wade thanks. The inceptor data I found at inceptor's website is the same as your find. I do have some test rounds and will shoot as I can.  Craig

Shot today and the inceptor rounds had minor problems. One stove pipe and on ftf out of ten. I will go a little hotter but not much. These are just a very light bullet at 65g. I think hotter will work as the factory rounds are hotter.  Craig

Some of you from handloads.com may remember I had minor brain damage about 10 years ago and still suffer from short term memory loss at times. So yesterday I shot the inceptor rounds with universal 5.0 with 5.2 starting, well today I couldn't find the source that I got the data from. I had inceptors data that I found on the internet and Shadow posted the same. I have a Lyman 49 but it's too old to have this 65g incepter data in it. Well just now I remembered Hodgens site and tried it and sure enough that is where I got the universal data from. Boy this getting old and trouble from an old accident is getting on my nerves.  Craig

OK did about 40 of the inceptors 65g with 5.5g Universal powder with 5.7 being max I think it will work fine.  Craig

Gee I guess it's been almost a month since I did the last post and misplaced the bullets so I never shot the 5.5 Incepter rounds. WOW!! found them and shot today and what a nice surprise. Nicely light due to the 65g weight but worked very well and 20 rounds in the black bullseye at 30' or so. I now have something to reload as I have a few hundred bullets left and nothing else planned.  I also have a full pound of Universal that I don't use for anything else.  Craig

With the massive amount of reloading I have done lately it is nice to get out to shoot finely and to have a very nice incepter round  that was super nice to shoot was a very nice bonus. I have already loaded a bunch more and have 100 or so left but will order more today. Craig

Well of course these aren't available anywhere. I called the company and the person said they were making them but hadn't made any for a while. I have loaded all I have like 200 or so. It is just like me to finely find a load I can shoot and it isn't available. I will hold the ones I have left until I find more to reload. I still have 2or 3 thousand FMJ to load up and shoot. Craig

Lets see if I can explain this! I went to the range with a few incepter rounds and misc other 9mm to shoot in the Taurus slim and Sig Sauer. I was all over the paper but shot the best with the incepter except for one stove pipe. Makes me crazy!! I think I need to settle down and pick one round to load and shoot. I did OK with the FMJ rounds. I always take too many different rounds and have problems switching between guns and rounds.  Craig

Same thing happens to me. Way too many bullets to choose from. That's a good thing though!  Where did you get the inceptors from?

gadabout

I think I got the incepters from Midway like a year ago or so. They don't have them but are getting them back in so I signed up for e-mail notification when they get them. I call the company that makes them and they are still making them but not so much lately, if that makes sense. She read off about four vendors on the internet that should have them but none did that I could find. Most had some loaded but few for reloading. I think things will settle down soon. I still have 150 loaded up with the Universal load I worked on and they are shooting great in my Taurus G2. I just won't shoot them all up until I find more to buy.  Craig

Shot some more Incepter today in the Taurus G2 and it ran as good a the first time I shot them. Ran some in the Kahr CM9 and all shot a little high. can fix with aim but I think it needed a different reload.  Also shot the Ruger MKIIII 22 and it shoots great and I like the red dot site that came with it. Weather is nice but I got poison oak the other day out but we have mowed out there since and it is not as bad.  Craig
