Bimmer,
Indeed, I've had similar experience with reloads jamming is some of my semi autos over the years. To avoid this, I screw the resize die all the way to the shell plate (have never had issue damaging the carbide insert). I check all my reloads with cartridge gauge. Even then, the tighter chamber target guns can still have some issues. My latest experience with this issue is with my 9mm Springfield 1911 "loaded" model. ~10% of the reloaded rounds do not pass the plunk test in the Springfield bbl. They will jam when the slide is going into battery. These same cartridges have no problems in my other 9mm pistols (HK and S&W...). I've never had issue with my revolver reloads but i don't yet have a revolver that shoot pistol ammo/using moon clips.

I've owned just about every Ruger revolver and once I got my first S&W I sold every Ruger except for my SS .45 convertible blackhawk.

In the 70's Ruger put out some nasty ads saying (paraphrased) Our revolvers are bigger and stronger and are better than...

firing a shot over Ruger's bow, S&W put out the following ad in gun rags, nuff said :-)

Looking to get the S&W 610 4in soon as my Disability check gets oked for new claim, looked at super Redhawk tooooo big, Blackhawk ok have to change cylinders. S&W  use moonclips for 40 and 10 which I already have for 357.  Will order new moonclips and some 10mm brass.  Used to shoot 10mm had a Kimber and dan Wesson razorback sold both like a fool. now alittle older and alittle smarter at least with the smith I wont have to chase brass.

BEEMER!

I could not agree more.  The only Ruger revolver I have left is a SP-101 because I like the engraving

Right...  I'm almost there.  I'm now screwing the sizing die down to where it's contacting the paperclip-like case retaining clip on my RL550B.

I never used to worry about gauging my reloads, because my Glocks would eat anything.  Now I have an old Glock barrel next to my reloading bench to use as a case gauge...

Regarding S&W vs. Ruger:  The big Ruger revolvers are just ugly, IMO, but I have a couple 3" LCRxes, and they're super.

I would buy a 9mm 3" LCRx in a heartbeat (c'mon Ruger!), and if Ruger could make a .40 or 10mm 4" LCRx, then I would buy one...

I have a Super Redhawk (in a different caliber) and recently picked up a Smith 610 6.5". I can't imagine why Ruger elected to use the Super Redhawk for the 10mm.

Because they were anticipating that a lot of buyers would have the cylinder chambers reamed out to 10mm Magnum, for which that frame is more than adequate.
The 10mm AUTO ...
When you're finally serious about stopping power.
