Posting this to see if someone has a new container they purchased this year or late last year and what does the powder look like?

A good friend called me, was sighting in his dad's henry big boy 45 Colt loaded with 17.9 gr AA#9, and a 250gr xtp. Had issue and stuck a case in the chamber. He brought the gun over and I got it out. But noticed a good smile on the brass.

His dad loaded these rounds with AA9 or supposed to be. My canister is very fine, but what was in the cases looked almost like autocomp or hs6 sized powder and wasn't sure if they reformulated it again. But it was bought off the internet and I'm wondering if possibly was replaced with something else?!?!

Accurate Arms #9 has under gone several formulation changes over the years...
Older AA#9 used to be all Microbeads that was Winchester blend (No 9 Blend (WC 820 90%, WC 350 10% - 106/94)
Later they added AA#7 to the Winchester 820 (No 9 Blend (IMI No7 20%, WC 820 80% - 118/92)

The newer Accurate #9 is a different blend since Western Powder took over as it id mostly all flatten ball type powders.  I thing it has a better yield as well.
Not sure what the newest blend is, but it almost looks like it has W296 in the mix? ???

Been loading AA #9 for about 5 years in .357 magnum, 44 magnum, and 10mm.
Just finished a new 8# keg, haven't noticed any change in 5 years.
