It should be convenient for Personal Defense (when you can't carry anything else).

I don't know Cappy, going up against a dope head you're probably going to end up on the wrong end of that thing. Jeez, a dope head is noted for taking a bullet and then starting to beat the heck out of the shooter. They don't feel anything, and that's the biggest issue in any SD scenario with a doper. If you don't put him down, as in on the ground, he will never know he's hurt. On the plus side, depending on how you want to look at it, in Texas, as of September 1 2019, we can carry brass knucks, hatchets, machetes and axes. I've had the brass knucks for decades for the "brush warriors" we get that come thru from Mexico. Kinda like getting hit with a hammer but you have to be a little careful. Any swiping kinda hit and meat comes with it. Ain't for the faint of heart.

It arrived this morning and I love this thing. It is lightning quick and can be used to dissuade marauding dogs as well as humans.

For $11.88 shipped to my door, it was more than worth the "price of admission".

I ordered a 16 foot kangaroo hide bull whip from Austrilla, wanted one ever since I saw Indiana Jones in the theaters.  Cost a little more then your Quirt but the enjoyment it brings just owning it is priceless.  I can crack a 2x4 in half with it.

Since I have a 10-foot Top Grain Cowhide and a 10-foot 550 Paracord Bullwhip I'll agree with you. If you can wield that 16-foot unit to good effect, it is one mean SOB!

Make no mistake about it. These aren't "movie props", they're honest-to-goodness tools with mean potential. By God, they just work!
