In a bone stock G20 GEN3, using a 180XTP, with #7 powder, I needed 12 grains to average 1231 fps, and 12.5 grains to average 1283 fps.

This Hornady factory load in my 5.25" barrel XDM averaged 1299 fps.

All that said, for the powder to be #7, I believe it would have to be at least a 12 grain powder charge. So I don't think the powder is #7.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I understand that, It is why I left question marks?.  My older #7 is different than the newer formulations.  Its had to say it could be a special blend slightly faster than AA#7

Yup, saw that. Was just throwing some thoughts out. 8)

Maybe it's Shooters World Major Pistol (Lovex D037.1)?

In my G20-SF 11.6grs of AA #7 yields roughly 1170 fps with Hornady 180gr bullets.  12.0grs produces roughly 1200 fps, but I get smileys every time.  11.6 is as far as I can take AA #7, where case expansion is at its max allowable. So I don't believe this could be 'canister grade' AA #7 either, at least delivering the advertised 1275 fps.
Some actual field chronograph data would shed some light on this..

Good job on the latest breakdowns!
WHY DO THEY CALL IT COMMON SENSE WHEN IT IS SO UNCOMMON?

The_Shadow

It's not the LOVEX DO37.01 and I had tested it based on UW's use of 13.0 grains to match that load.  I'll keep studying this one with hopes of finding what's being used.   :-[
