Indeed.
But its even more fun to be where theres no one else.

My primo spot is on BLM land. And before you ask, yes it meets all the needs.
Its a box canyon with natural berms several hundred feet high. Its far enough away from houses to meet the legal requirements.

And just as important, I treat it like it was my own land.

I cleanup not only our mess, but what others leave there as well.

Hell, someone left 1 of those old big screen tv's after they had shoot the shit out of it, so I cleaned it up when I was doing a house dump run.

I also shoot on BLM land most of the time.  Same with the trash, except I can't clean it all up unless I took a 5-ton dump truck and the kubota.  So, our rule of thumb is to carry out twice what we carry in.

We also find a small canyon or berm to shoot into, with a 2-3K' mountain to back it up.
